Terms and Conditions

By entering the Promotion, the participant will be deemed to have accepted these Terms & Conditions and be bound by them and any other requirements contained in the Promotion material.  

   
Promoter: AB InBev UK Limited (Company number: 3982132), whose address is Porter Tun House, 500 Capability Green, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU1 3LS (the “Promoter”). 


Eligibility:


1.    The “Students Disrupt London” Competition (the “Competition”) is open to students who are currently enrolled on a full or part time course at University College London (UCL) or Imperial College London and are aged 18 years or over, excluding employees or their immediate families of the Promoter, its associated agents or anyone else professionally associated with the administration of the Promotion.
2.    The Promotion opens at 00.01am on 10/10/2016 and closes at 11.59pm on 01/11/2016 (the “Competition Period”).

 

Prize:


3.    Three VIP tickets to the Corona Sunsets Festival, taking place in London in 2017. The official date is to be confirmed (TBC).
4.    The Winning team will be responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from Corona Sunsets and any related expenses including (but not limited to) accommodation, food, entertainment and insurance that is not stated to be part of the Prize.
5.    The Prize is as specified and the Winning team is not permitted to transfer the right to redeem the Prize to anyone else. 
6.    Valid photographic proof of identification will be required on the event day in order to redeem the Prize.
Entry Requirements: 
7.    Only one entry is permitted per every three groups of students. Any entries through third parties, consumer groups or agents are invalid. All entries must be made directly by the person entering the Competition. Syndicated entries or multiple entries via brute force or script processes or the use of automated devices or processes or any multiple entry attempt by any other means will not be accepted. Any entries received via this method will be disqualified and any prize awarded will be void.
8.    The Competition can only be entered by students through the Students Disrupt London Website (www.studentsdisruptlondon.co.uk) (the “Site”). Students are required work in groups of three to create a new idea or innovation to bring to the London Beer market using one of the Promoter’s global brands: Corona, Budweiser or Stella Artois. Students should use the template slides provided to pitch their idea using a maximum of 5 slides. 
9.    The entry must include:
a)    A plan of action;
b)    Financial viability of the idea;

c)    Understanding of the brand profile and customer;

d)    Relevant contact details for one of the participants within each team (for purpose of contacting the entrant(s) upon the result of their entry)
10.    All entries submitted must be targeted at those of legal drinking age and over, and support the Promoter’s commitment to promoting a smart drinking culture across the UK.

11.    The Promoter may disqualify an entry if it deems it, in its opinion, to condone or encourage immoderate, irresponsible or anti-social drinking. 

12.    By submitting an entry, the entrants warrant that the entry submitted shall be their own original work, and that no third party has any right or claim in relation to it. The entrant further warrants and undertakes that the entry complies with all laws applicable in the UK, and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights. The entrant further warrants that they are not aware of any reason why the entry could be the subject of any dispute with any third party.

Winner Selection and Notification:


13.    The winning entry will be picked by a judging panel (including one independent judge) taking in to account the following criteria:
a)    Feasibility and speed to market in idea;
b)    Financial viability;
c)    Creativity;
d)    Understanding of the brand profile and customer.

14.    The judging panel will short list 10 entries and the finalists will be invited to a VIP event hosted by the Promoter in London on 23/11/2016 (TBC - subject to change) where the winning team will be announced. Individuals invited to attend the Promoter's event will be responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the Promoter's event and any related expenses including (but not limited to) accommodation, food, entertainment and insurance that is not stated to be part of the Prize.


General:


26.    Title to and all Intellectual Property in each entry will pass to the Promoter on receipt by the Promoter of the entry and the Promoter may publish, film, photograph, record, reproduce or copy entries and presentations in any medium to promote this Promotion and / or other initiatives. All participants may keep a copy of their entry for personal reference. The Promoter has the right to use exclusively and on a royalty free basis, in perpetuity, all Intellectual Property rights that may relate to or may subsist in any of the entries or presentations in any way that the Promoter sees fit. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions “Intellectual Property” includes (but is not limited to) any patents, any extensions of the exclusivity granted in connection with patents, registered design, trademarks, service marks, applications for any of the foregoing, the right to apply for any of the foregoing, rights in trade names, business names, brand names, logos, domain names, copyrights, design rights, publication rights, trade secrets and confidential information and all other forms of intellectual property right having equivalent or similar effect to any foregoing.
27.    The Promoter reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to verify the Winning team, including but not limited to, proof of identity and/or age, as required, and to withdraw Prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this Promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained an unfair advantage in participating in the Competition or has won using fraudulent means. 
28.    Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability, for any injury sustained, loss, or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; or any tax liability incurred by any participant. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury sustained, as a result of, or in connection with this promotion (in contract, negligence or otherwise) where:

(a)    there is no breach of a legal duty of care owed to the participant;
(b)    the loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach; or
(c)    any loss or damage or increase in loss or damage results from a breach by the participant of these terms and conditions or to the extent that the participant has failed to mitigate such loss or damage; and 
(d)    any loss or damage or increase in loss or damage results from business losses, and/or losses to non-consumers and any other third party. 
29.    The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or withdraw the Promotion as necessary due to wholly exceptional circumstances outside its reasonable control where circumstances make this unavoidable but will use all reasonable endeavours to minimize the effect on participants to avoid undue disappointment. 
30.    There are no cash or other prize alternatives available in whole or in part except in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute similar alternatives of equal or greater value. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter the Prize will only be awarded directly to the Winner. 
31.    The Promoter shall not be held liable for systems failures at the redemption of the handling house; neither can they be held responsible for any failure to fulfil obligations of any third parties involved in this Promotion.
32.    The Promoter will not be held liable to any participant for any fraud committed by any third party nor in an event beyond its control.
33.    The Promoter’s decision will be final in relation to all competition matters. 
34.    All participants in this Promotion must be of legal UK drinking age and 18 years or over at the date of entry into the Promotion.
35.    Winners hereby consent to participate in any reasonable publicity accompanying and resulting from the Promotion required on behalf of the Promoter if so requested.
36.    Winners agree that their personal information will be used for the purposes of administering the Promotion and in connection with any advertising mentioned in these Terms and Conditions. Please note that in processing the information in this way the Promoter may disclose such information to other companies in its group or to third parties employed by the Promoter. Individuals should contact consumer.helpline@ab-inbev.com if they do not want the Promoter to hold personal data for this purpose.
37.    For a period of 3 months following the closing date the Winning team’s full names and county will be available by request, by sending a self-addressed envelope to Students Disrupt London Competition, AB InBev UK Limited, 500 Capability Green, Luton Beds, LU1 3LS or email robert.hester@ab-inbev.com with the subject ‘‘Students Disrupt London”. Please do not send entries or any other correspondence to this address.
38.    Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
